Meaning and Metaphor

One of my first pieces directed towards a real-world issue dealt with pollution, specifically plastic. Research showed that Coca-Cola, Pepsi, and Nestle were among the highest polluters, so in response to that data, I created Plastic.

Earth’s destruction is commonly depicted by nuclear missiles, disease, and war throughout media today, and since the company’s bottles resembled missiles…I flew with that. Pollution at our hands will destroy our planet if we don’t begin to take it seriously.
